The Value of Sunshine

Living in Alaska for two winters now has really brought me to a new level of appreciation for sunshine. In the winter, just a glimpse of sunshine up over the mountain peak brings a smile to my face. I intentionally drive down a side street when I'm in the valley just to chance catching a ray of sunshine on my skin and I can hardly resist photographing the sun shining beautifully on the trees. I took these pictures when leaving the valley the other day. The sun was setting around 3:00 p.m. and the pink sunset on the trees and snow was intoxicating...enjoy!

Happy 6th Birthday Baby Girl!

Wow 6 years already! I remember when Isabella was born...the nurse held her up and I said to Ryan "She looks just like Grandpa Cote!!" LOL! And such a beautiful girl she is! So spirited and full of spunk with a twinkle in her blue eyes. It is so fun to watch her absorb new ideas and skills like a sponge. Her only request this year for her birthday was a "girl bible that I can read"...
Here are some pictures from her birthday celebration.
