Ptarmigan

Ryan went snow machining on Monday and brought home a bunch of ptarmigan from out by Hicks Lake. He and Jeremiah are headed out to Mt.Man this afternoon to camp out in wall tents with wood stoves and a lot of other men. They eat, ride snowmachines, burn stuff, shoot stuff, tell stories, enjoy hanging out and doing "guy" stuff. So I decided to cook up a bunch of the ptarmigan and make them a ptarmigan pot pie in cast iron to take along with them for dinner tonight. I hope they enjoy it because it smells wonderful!

Cast off

The time has elapsed and the bone has healed. Yesterday the cast came off. He says its still uncomfortable to walk on but the dr says that's normal.

Fun and inexpensive DIY gift

I had a lot of fun making this mug for my friend who is about to leave for Asia with MAF. I will miss her a lot but the mugs will remind me to pray for her and remind her that I AM praying for her. Sharpie marker a mug, time, and the oven are all that is required.
