My Baby is Three!

Ahhh my sweet baby boy is now three years old! Time sure flies! We had a great time celebrating his birthday with our family at Red Robin and then again on Sunday for lunch at home. He loves to jump off of anything and everything. He LOVES everything his daddy does and copies all of the things his big sisters say. He is totally into Spiderman and pretty much anything having to do with superheros and loves to play superhero! Such a fun and cheery little guy! We are so blessed to have this little guy be a part of our family! We love you J-man! Happy Birthday!

S.A.L.T. /CIT/WIT Weekend

So....

You're probably wondering what all of those initials stand for.

VBC has a programs called S.A.L.T. which is high school students that come out for a week or more in the summer and help out with cleaning, kitchen, set up, bathrooms, messes in general...etc. The initials stand for Servant And Leadership Training. They are also mentored in Christian leadership and taught servant leadership principles from Scripture.

CIT stands for counselors in training and WIT stands for wrangler in training.

There are the high school students that are coming to learn leadership skills and develop into Godly servant leaders.

In the winter, VBC invites them back to camp for an all expense paid weekend of refreshing their commitment to the Lord, their friendships with one another and to encourage them to come back again the next summer.

We had the awesome opportunity to play with our worship band that we've been developing at church, and lead this retreat's worship time. We had a really great time and the kids all seemed to have a great time as well. Here are a few more pics...

The Perks

One of the perks of having daddy work close to home is that we get to see him more! He comes home for lunch, we can walk down and visit him at the garage, and now and then the kids get to ride with him in the plow truck or in various equipment. Jeremiah was THRILLED to get to ride with daddy in the high loader yesterday to haul a propane tank across the lake from the Mays house. Here's a couple pics of my little "spidey" in the high loader with daddy...
