Remembering Terry and praying for Sandy and the children

Today I remember the life of Terry Dorothy. I remember when I was a young girl, visiting Terry and Sandy at their house in the Blue Apartments at New Tribes as they were newlyweds. We always had such a good time of laughter and Terry was always teasing with a twinkle in his eyes. When they had their first child, Jonathan I was so proud to be the first baby sitter when he was a few weeks old. Through the years we've moved away and they've moved away and we've sometimes lost contact but I always have had a fond spot for them in my heart and in my remembrances. I pray for Sandy and the children as they mourn the loss of their husband and father. I mourn the senseless loss of Terry too soon.
The memorial service is being held today at 6:00p.m. at
Waukesha Bible Church in Waukesha, WI.
The viewing is at 5:00p.m.

Futon Cover

Well, I was going to buy a cover for our futon since it's light tan and the girls already have stained it in just 3 short weeks...but even on clearance I couldn't find anything for under $45! So...I made my own. I found some fabric that's fun but even more importantly it was only $1.50 a yard at Wal-mart and I made my own. A few fun pillows and the girls love it in their toy room! Here's some pictures.

The mitered corner that actually looked decent...won't show you the other one!

It closes at one end with fun colorful buttons.

Afternoon at Clackamas town Center

We spent a very enjoyable day walking around the Clackamas Town Center with our friends. We used to live just across the street from the Town Center and it brought back a lot of memories of me and Naomi (as a tiny baby) walking around and around the Town Center as I quieted her to sleep! Good times!!! :) The kids had a great time playing on the interactive pad on the floor and we found some great deals on some clothes for Ryan and Jonathan! We had a nice lunch at Red Robin and got home in time for youth group at church in the evening. Thanks Garlands for the fun day!

We all fit in the elevator...barely!

The sun came out FINALLY so we headed to the courtyard to enjoy it for a bit
